Cazador...

Well the Caz is now two years old or there abouts. And it was mentioned it was just a beep and dig.
While the Caz hangs in limbo other manufacturers are pumping out some really new high tech units
as well as innovative beep and digs that surely surpass what Tesoro has or will put out. So if the Caz does come along,
the tech designed in it will be old tech, nothing new. So for the $750 you'd pay for it, it better be better than what's out there now for the same price.
At least they could build a new machine and use the Tejon platform and get away from the Bandido platform. Like Keith Southern said their Gem in the rough
is sitting right in front of their faces at Tesoro, the Tejon. Ahh but, then who would buy a Tejon? They would have to retire it......
If the Caz uses the Tejon platform and includes the refinements mentioned in other postings, I would be tempted to buy one. Had two Tejons at one point.
Maybe the 2nd new machine might be named "Caz'teJon" meaning "Hunter of Treasure" translated to English terms "Treasure Hunter"

They should just give us the Caz to pacify everyone, so Tesoro owners have something new and exciting to post about.

Anyone want to play dice at the Cazino?

I'm just a novice, but I think I could hold my own in a dirt fishing contest swinging a Tesoro against some of those high priced bells and whistle gadget detectors. I've used and still use a lot of different brands of detectors but a Tesoro is still my overall favorite. :detecting: The most significant change in most brands of detectors is higher prices.

True and true.

Tesoros keep me in the hobby, that's why there's at least two sitting here at any given time. When you get tired of swinging those digital target ID machines, grabbing a Tesoro is a breath of fresh air.

As far as the new "cutting edge" stuff from across the pond goes....i am already seeing plenty of those machines for sale used......not a good sign.

The new machine should be called the ghost. I think it fits the current circumstances.

I heard a new water unit may be in the works. A 12khz unit like the tiger but without the salt mode. A fresh water unit with ground ,thresh, sen, disc, Named the BULL SHARK. As soon as I get it finished up I'll post a pic. lol:thumbup:

As crazy as some may find it. Most of todays technology is still based around 80's circuitry. It works tho so I rally can't complain to much. :tesoro:

I almost have enough detectors to be able to use a different one each day per fortnight.....four of these are Tesoros. As to the number of detectors I have, I'm probably no different to many many other detector operators out there. I dont need a new detector of any brand....I have all the detectors I need, and they all meet my special needs in one way or another.

If Tesoro never bring out another new detector, it will not interfere with my enjoyment of the hobby....I have heaps of fun and enjoyment when I use the Tesoros I have.

As you may be able to guess, if I have have 4 Tesoros out of a total of about 14, then I have lots of other brands as well....who doesn't, if they like "playing".

I really dont care if Tesoro dont try to compete with the bells and whistles of other brands....I enjoy the Tesoros I have for their ability to find metal, their ability to discriminate, and their ability to be able to give me some of the very enjoyable times in my tiny little lifetime.

If Tesoro do bring out a new machine, well and good....but I refuse to go to my grave crying that Tesoro didn't bring out a new machine in 2014 or whenever.

My intention is to appreciate what I have and enjoy my detecting as much as I can....Tesoro have helped me do that for years, and, even if I dont buy another new Tesoro, I can be confident that the machines I have will help me to enjoy detecting for years to come. HH
