Cazador...

The Dark

New member
According to Rusty Henry, those wanting the Cazador are going to "Be waiting a while". Take that as you will.

n/t

I agree Elton, I just know some folks who have been real curious and have had money burning a hole in their pocket.

they probably could have taken the deleon. added manual ground balance for both modes. waterproofed to 10 feet without the need for headphones for it. had it come with 3 coils. changed it the look. it probably would have been fine. to jerk you guys around with this new detector for years is just bad marketing and you know it. no matter how highly we think of tesoro. i was not interested in it anyhow. when or if i ever upgrade from the vaq. it will most likely be the tejon. however other companies are moving ahead at a steady clip. when this cazador does, if ever comes out. it hope it will be nothing short of absolutely effing amazing for you guys.

Only time will tell. It is kind of disheartening hearing that from Rusty though as opposed to the usual speculation or rumor.

Tejon is still very relevant Today.....

Whats crazy is Tesoro has a Diamond in the rough right in front of them for the relic hunter and even advanced coin hunter's in old sites especially..

TEJON

1-Update battery box or even battery supply requirement

2-Add two tone user adjsutable in the iron disc range..Assign the first disc circuit to cover iron only ..this would increase the resolution and where ever its set let the tone beak form high to low..

3-Increase the auto tune speed of the all metal mode..way too slow for hunting in all but the best of grounds and even then its a chore..

update the coils to newer idea designs..DD's that are tight...Tejon is a high gain give us some amped up coils to go with them...

The platform Tesoro has is one of the best disc circuits in existance..

Keith

Rumor has been spreading that First Texas wants to buy Tesoro like they did with Fisher.
Dang, I better stock up on some affordable used Tesoro Precott, AZ models....................while I can....sell them for big bucks in a few years....
We all know what happened when Fisher was bought out--CZ's....
Hey, the new Tesoro look, like Bounty Hunters, Teknetics...........

Sven, probably right about your last comment, its just a matter of time before it happens.

Understood Sir. WE can all hope for sooner, than later.

Hopefully that doesn't happen, they're one of the three companies that are still family owned.(Tesoro, Garrett, and Whites)

sven if only you had the resources to manufacture a detector , i think you would hit the mark right on .

CHECK with Rusty you will find find out that cazador means hunter in Spanish----el cazador means the hunter.

I said some of this last year, or two ago. I still like my Tejon a lot, but the A.T. Pro came along and filled the vacuum in many ways. You can't buy the product if it isn't available,..... unfortunately.

Yeah, Tesoro never should've even made a peep about a new detector unless it was near completion. Just really bad marketing. Just a really bad idea. The other brands have either quietly or not-so quietly introduced new machines while the Tesoro faithful continue to wait on something announced almost 2 years ago.

there is a good possibility that they already have it. but nipped some of another companies technology and that company found out. now awaiting the courts to sort it out. maybe that is the reason for the long wait and why tesoro is not saying anything about it. just thought of that. things like that could be tied up in the courts forever.

a two year old detector that has fallen behind times. By the time it comes other manufactures will be years ahead.
Tesoro produces another old machine, calls it new. So has this Caz depreciated in price still it was originally going to be released?
For the same mount of money, I'm sure you can get a much better detector........................from another manufacturer.
If you guys remember it was mentioned two machines where in the works, the first one would be the one they had the contest to name it.
What ever happened to the second new model?
According to the stats Tesoro is a 5 to 10 million dollar company in sales a year. And you know the bulk of it is not coming from selling hobbyist type metal detectors.
That just tells you how much interest the current regime has for its followers and its products. The dangled carrot is now rotten.

Sven,so basically what you are saying is that Tesoro are a 'Innovative' company and keep up with modern cutting edge technology, thats how i read it anyway,of course i could be reading it totally wrong though.
