I've sold to Midwest but just tried ARA,they treated me fair.You can call them and lock in the price or you can send them gold through out the year and then call and sell when you want hopefully at a good price.

Midwest is a ripoff compaired to ARA, ARA will send all your stones back with your check free, they pay more and will let you know when they determine the spot value NOT midwest. I have done research on both of them and 123 refinery, I will never use either midwest or 123 again.

Don, I have to agree with the others who said that www.aragold.com has the best deal. As you know, I had used Midwest for years and promoted them. This last time, I used aragold. They PAY the most of anybody. They do it quickly. And they were extremely friendly, helpful, and willing to answer and and all questions on the phone. They are just plain better than Midwest and I will use them until such time as they aren't.

That said, I never felt that Midwest ever screwed me. Others have not had the same experience. But for me, the bottom line is the bottom line. Them that pays the most gets my business.

ARA is the only place I would even consider using anymore, I will NEVER use Midwest again. The last time I sent in a batch I did not get an assay, because I was just short of 3 troy ozs. and because it was I was penalized as they bought the lot, "on a percentage" according to Midwest mgmt. What that equated to after my Dendritics calculation was about 20% light on the 14K batch and about 40% short on the 10K batch. There was a broken unmarked gold earring, part was accepted and part of it was pictured as a reject, HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN? Consider yerself warned. On previous occasions I had issues with one thing or another and it was explained away, no telling how much I lost dealing with them.
