Can't read ring markings ? ( illuminated loupe works great )

If you have a hard time seeing ring marking in the house, you might want to try a illuminated loupe, they cost about $8.40 and are really great for indoors. I don't know how I got along with out one. Just type in 30X illuminated loupe in Google and click on amazon.com site. Gene
 
you might also try your local coin dealers, some do sell loupes..

i wear bifocals and have never had any luck with loupe's. my solution is a usb microscope 200 power!

here is an example this picture is the end of a gold chain i found with a dime for size comparision

this picture is the mark at about 100 power

even these old tired eyes can see it!

Ramrod, here is the ebay store that I bought mine at, but there are many others available also. I have the stand with the microscope and would recogmend it, if you buy the micro scope.

Just put in the ebay search USB microscope, there are loads, and a damn site cheaper for the same model than the link ones
 
Most arts and craft stores carry 10x and 16x. They are cheap. I cannont find mine...its around here somewhere. But they come in real handy. Id go get one...cheap enough. HH-Joe
