Can rings show up in the penny section on a Ace 250

This is true. Many small rings and filigree items can come in rather low. There arent too many, but they exist.
 
Yup. Rings + zinc pennies = penny.....ring + iron = iron. The ring "reading" can be affected by lots of factors: position, soil moisture, and WHATEVER the ring is "masked" with like foil, aluminum, iron, and coins of any kind. And the part that REALLY bothers me is iron...unless I'm digging it ALL, how many rings have I missed because I had disc'd out iron? Especially a large piece of it. Hmmmm. I try not to think about it!
