Can anyone think of a reason not to use Target Trace?

When hunting an area with lots of non ferrous trash. The machine resets quicker with TT off, at least mine does. I've dug a number of silver ( most notably a 1749 half reale) with fairly ok digable audio but also displaying a smeared TT. I'm willing to bet most folks have examples of a smeared TT yet recovered a good target.

I still have TT on in pinpoint, I just don't think there's much benefit to TT in search mode. JMHO.

I am beginning to rely on target trace more and more I a become more acquainted with the CTX 3030. I appears tohave much bette discrimination potential than the eTraac. Does anyone know where target trace would be detrimental to the mission of finding coins/artifacts? I , at first did not appreciate themigration from eTrac to CTX bu more recently I have become more familiar and apprecitive of the CTX capabilities.

Thanks
dAb
