My Granny dipped Red Top Snuff. I have a photo of her sitting in her rocking chair with her snuff can sitting in the floor next to her chair. I reckon that qualifys me as a hillbilly too.My grandma actually dipped snuff. There is some old snuff in one can. Yeah, I know.......I am a hillbilly!!
Mountain oysters! Haven't heard that in a while. Politically correct people around here (OK) call'em pan fries or calf fries. My grandma dipped snuff all the time. Kept a maxwell coffee can next to her chair. My job was to empty it. Never knew my grandpa, he passed before I was born. But my uncle smoked unfiltered camel cigarettes one after another and ate mountain oysters out of a mason jar all the time. He lived to be in his 90s. I remember in the spring time milk from our cows smelling like spring onions. I truly miss those days.
