:cam:More Old Lake Gold and OLLLLLLLLLLLD Silver....:cam:
Skully,
The bigger the better on the pics! Great finds! You must be tired. The picture of the lake does not look like a swimming kind of lake. Do you just find a lake and go for it? Or do you find a lake that has what appears to have a swimming area or beach? Isn't there 2 feet of silt in those lakes? If so how deep do you find your targets? Sorry for all the questions but I have been hitting a couple of fresh water sand beaches and just was wondering about the mud and silt in other lakes.
Well...It's like this

The lake is very very old..Large...There is no telling where the original shore line is or was..

I drive up and down the sides of the lake and get out and hunt for while

If I don't find clad or silver..move on to the next spot

the area I have been hunting must have been an old swim area that has no lake access now...in fact there are houses 75 yards from where i hunt...
The main beach has been there all along

I mainly look for rocky or clay bottoms..they hold the good stuff...

The area about 0 to 20 yards from shore ..very little silt due to the wave action..pushing and pulling the sand/silt in and out

Hope I answered all of your questions

HH Skully...

Skully,
Thanks for the answers. I have asked you some questions some time ago also and you always come through. You certainly are persistent. Great job!

Nice looking Gold and Silver Ring. The Gold Ring has to be at least 100 Years Old since it looks like the old Love Tokens that were made back in that time period. Good Job on the Barber Quarter! Those are a fun Coin to find. You sure know how to find that Jewelery and the Silver Coins now. What is your Ring Count for the year at? Continued Success, Good Luck and HH.:detecting:
