Calling all Non-Christians

I've noticed that for the past two years there are about 20 of us that post on this forum, however, at times there are over 200 views. So either all 20 of us come in and out of this Christian Forum, or what I think is probably happening is that there are many people from other forums who check in to see what's going. So why are there only a handful of us that post on this forum? Again, I have another idea and I might have the answer. When I wasn't a Christian, so called "Christian People" never reached out to me and said, "Hi, my name's so-and-so, I'd like to get to know you." I remember how I felt in those situations, like I wasn't worthy of their friendship because I didn't believe in Jesus. And to be blunt, that wasn't right.

Now, I personally don't believe in labels but If you consider yourself an atheist, agnostic, Jewish, or even a pagan, I would like to personally welcome you to this forum and I'm sure all of us would love to hear about who you are and how you got involved in metal detecting. If you don't feel comfortable responding, that's fine, but just know many of us out here are just a PM away if you need to talk. And mostly, you are welcome here regardless of religious belief, political affiliation, race, or any other label people attach to one another. If you are a human being and detect, welcome!

Thanks for checking in, and we would like to get to know you. God Bless and Godspeed.

Greg

Good post, Greg. I know that I am often guilty of not reaching out to others as I should, whether it be on this forum or otherwise. As far as the forum goes, at times I check it more often than other times. My schedule is very hectic and I end up going from a day or two, to sometimes a couple of weeks (or longer) without coming over here to see what's going on. I have to be on the computer a lot for work purposes but other than that I find that a quick scroll through Facebook is all I do at times. Then, when I do stop by here I hesitate to reply to anything since I've been away for a while and don't want to appear as though I'm jumping in the middle of things just out of the blue. I've been a part of this forum for a lot of years. I was under a different user name for a few years and then changed to my present user name about 5 years ago.

Thanks for the nudge to be more willing to reach out to people!

Very nice.

Many people do not know God or Jesus, they have rarely been exposed. Many exposures have been negative. They see so called 'religious ones' saying one thing and doing the opposite leaving a bad taste in their mouths. They may see one set of Christians teaching things totally different than the others....can be confusing and a turn off, so they don't bother.

One can come to a conclusion all by themselves though....there IS a God......just open your eyes and marvel at all He has invented/created from nothing......how !!! did He do that???

Great post. As Christians we are all called by God to be his "ministers". We need to reach out and spread the word, just like you have in this post. If it lights a spark in only one person and it takes that person a lifetime to become a Christian you did great!
We, as 'ministers' need to be non-judgmental. We need to be able to sit down next to the murders, thieves, child abuser, Muslims and common criminal and pray with them. It's a hard pill to swallow, but it's a pill prescribed by God.
This is my opinion and my interpretation of what God wants me to do for him.

Sandtick,it's easy to have the strength to say these words but what if one of your family members is the victim of a murderer, child abuser or a terrorist?Could you sit and pray with the person that had just murdered a family member......i do not believe that you could.Your words are those of wisdom, but in reality and the situation I have described, these words may be slightly hollow.
I for one could not sit down with a person if they had murdered one of my family and say prayers with him.......and I apologise to God for this, but I would not be strong enough to do it.

No one has the strength for that Neil.

But, as God says, "As your days so will your strength be" and it is not a hollow promise.

We all hope and pray that we will never be in such a position, but amazingly, when it happens, the Lord steps in and provides the strength.

Please watch this remarkable short video to see the Grace of the Lord at work in a life.

His Grace will be sufficient, that is His promise to His people.

Good post! I think oftentimes, our crazy, hectic lives get in the way of posting. I do check in often because I care about everyone that posts here, but I normally only have a couple minutes on the computer at a time and tell myself, "I'll stop by later and post when I have time." That time never seems to come. Also, I feel many people have stopped by and seen questionable postings (selfishness, hate, etc.), postings that go against what they feel should be posted and get totally turned off. I have always maintained that the most hurt and rejected I have ever felt in my life came via a "fellow Christian". We all strive to be better on a daily basis, but we all stumble. Not throwing out excuses as we should be very prayerful and mindful of what we say, do and post, but occasionally we lack judgement.

on my faith in what I believe and I don't believe most who don't agree with God's Holy Word will post on the CMD and if they do, then then name calling is done and their posts are deleted! I don't ever ask for any post to be deleted and never will unless it is full of expletives which doesn't belong on here or on TV and the Net and etc. as far as that goes, but it is the way of the world! I have used my Christianity with love on another forum and so far it has okay but a few years ago 3 Christians were banned from the Views Forum, so speaking the truth about Jesus and politics wasn't wanted on there...maybe it has changed but don't know as I don't even visit it to read the posts any more!

I am about to come to the conclusion that many on here don't want the truth about God Jehovah nor about how some religions (not Chrisitanity) are destroying America and bringing us to Socialism....which never has worked but will destroy our nation and the whole world! I pray for others and not many ever communicate with me on my posts, like I do on theirs and I know I have more time but been very ill and do it any way! Just my two-cents worth and I pray those who need Jesus will post and ask questions about Christian faith and what we believe and I think I do that but also disagree when others are wrong and live ungodly! Sin isn't preached against in most churches today with too many afraid they will offend someone and seem to bow to the enemies...if a person is to be truly saved they need to know the truth as well as the love of God in Jesus' name! Amen! Ma

trouble with erasing before I finish or my cursor jumping around and doing weird things to keep me from posting...I guess satan doesn't want me to do so! Yes, this forum is getting rather inactive but so is the other forum I'm on....not many posting but detecting or too busy working....maybe more will post when the weather gets too cold to go :detecting: or garage sales.....or people get healed and are feeling lots better including MOI! Love ya....tell Loren I said hello to her....she is soo cute and has a good Christian home and family! Amen! Ma

I have no idea nor do I want to experience that.
My wife had her brother murdered and she was able to eventually forgive that person. Doesn't mean she wants to break bread with that individual. I would hope that I could draw strength from how she handled that situation. I have sat down with fellow sinners and prayed with and for them. But at this stage of my life you are most likely correct in your assumption Neil.

Very good post Greg. Glad you posted this. I have thought the same thing a lot. Sometimes I am just so tired after all the overtime I have been working , so I just check the post.

This is the hardest topic because we are all so weak and helpless without the Lord.

Dear friends, if we ever truly suffer then we will realise how helpless we are.

Corry Ten Boom suffered terribly under the Nazi's, as did countless millions.

She lost her family in concentrattion camps and she was imprisoned also.

Her family had hidden Jewish people and were caught.

I just found this video of her speaking about it.

Please spend a few minutes and watch it, you will be glad you did.

It will answer your questions Neil, as it answers mine.

There's is no answer within to this awful eventuallity, should it come upon us, but there is an answer in our Lord Jesus.

if anyone hasn't read it, you've missed a wonderful story on the miracles she and her sister had and she had getting released from the concentration camp....Only God could do it and did! Amen! Ma

Love you too, ma! We think of you often....I will let ya in on a little secret. I am a huge meteorology buff and watch The Weather Channel often. I always make sure to hear the forecast in your neck of the woods and say a prayer for you when I watch :). Lol, Travis thinks my obsession with TWC is strange, but the programming is always clean. Haha!
