Buyer's Remorse?

Nope love mine, don't want all the bells and whistles, don't want to be worrying about settings cause the v3i I'd be constantly changing stuff.

Anyone with a V3i can operate it as either a VX3 or V3i. They are the same internally except the VX3 has a limited user interface.

It is called second guessing yourself and no matter what decision you make you can make yourself crazy if you dwell on it. Do the research, make a decision and stick by it!

What do you want to use the detector for, you didn't say? If you don't need some of the V3i features the VX3 is a good choice. For me and my hunting the V3i is a better choice. It might not be for you.
