Got out for about an hour this afternoon before the rain started and found nothing of importance but did find an older Broach. It has a gilded metal body and some "jewels" adorning the face. Down about 5" it showed at 42 on the meter, thought I had a penny. Anyway it's great to get out and smell the Loam from time to time.

Also. Broaches can come in like total junk.
Many nice ones were made of more than one metal. Silver copper. Silver bronze. With gold and or silver inlays. Scattered numbers and tone's.

Usually I dig anything above 40 but when Im scanning a new area and find old coins I have a tendency to go after the coin numbers. I can always go back and rescan for everything at a later date. Just the way I do things…… now if I suddenly start hitting gold rings then the coins can wait
