the ones i found are solid brass. i don't know how to judge their age.

i done a little looking around and i think mine arn't old. I found some just like mine on the web for about 40 to 45 dollars.

I kinda wanted to let you do your research for a bit, but I think yours are quite old. I’m not sure but my gut says they are.

i think i seen some like yours that dated around 1861. They started making them here at about the beginning of the civil war, so says the web.
