This machine is by far the best that I have ever used to find rings. That 15khz seems to be the magic number to really hit hard on gold and other alloyed rings.

29 by my count, thats wicked John! Approximately how many hunts did these include? Hours of hunting?

Here's a loaded question for ya..........Do you think the Scorpion bangs onto rings harder than the Sea Hunter? Do you think you still would have found them had you been using a Sea Hunter?

Sorry, I'm puttin you out on a limb here hehehe.

Yes.....it's a VLF and bangs hard on coins and rings. The Sea Hunter bangs hard on everything....you just have to learn to distinguish certain sounds.

Of course. But I would never uses a Sea Hunter in a sports field due to the very high amount of trash and I just don't want to dig targets on land at great depths, where there are usually few good targets anyway.

To get my targets with the Scorp, I center the coil over the target, put it in all metal mode and slide the coil towards myself. The sound that the target makes as it suddenly stops gives me a lot of information on its size, depth and conductivity.

Based on your current rate, you should reach 60 by 2011. Are most of these found in parks or by a water source such as a lake or river with a beach? Do you think that the Ace 250 can have success like that?

Matt

Your well on your way with those finds !

These are all on land.....parks, schools, sports fields. I have more rings found in water and found with my GTI 2500 but I will post those at the end of the year.
