Hi Mcb613, Glad to have you aboard, get up with doug (my son) and you will be welcomed, I will join you guys soon hopefully ! were diggn some nice stuff here in the Raleigh NC area.
 
Jimmy, was kinda kidding about the hunt; not much on inviting myself or imposing... But I do appreciate your kindness. Im in De, so NC is a bit of a drive. However, I have always wanted to do a civil war hunt, but dont have anything near and certainly would seem to need to be a local to get permission. With that being said, I will see how far of a drive it is, for the heck of it, never know, maybe materialize. Maybe check my frequent flyer miles... Thanks again for the offer and good luck with the quick repair. Make sure to post some of those finds!

***Update*** Minelab Americas shipped my Ctx3030 out friday and it should arrive here tuesday, it's been 12 days for the turnaround which I think is pretty good, Darin Brown at minelab kept me informed along the way "Thanks Darin", I am sooooo ready to get some goodies lol, I hope all you guys have a great week diggin and I should be out there with ya soon.
 
Update!! unit is back, I ran out to the UPS truck I was so happy lol, Functions as it should. The LCD/GUI was repaired using new PCB, Assembly User Interface according to the work sheet. Now I have to find some time to get re-aquainted as I was just getting to know a little about this detector however job takes precedence because I like to eat also lol, I will be heading to the beach 1st chance I get. I hope everyone has a great detecting week & weekend, ya in the field, Jimmy
 
Dang!! I spoke to soon, I just tried to hook ctx up to the FBS2 and got a message saying I need to update software on ctx??? couldn't figure that out so I unhooked and checked the modes and low and behold I don't have the seawater option anymore I guess I got a brand new detector with old settings, I am not a happy camper, FUBAR
 
Just hook it back up and download the upda. You will get seawater back as well as the pinpoint lock.

Now, after you fiddle a program together on the CTX out in the field, besure to
upload/save it on your XChange2.
