Bill Ladd, on the F-2.......:usaa:

apparently your post is insignificant !..i hear ya!..as i mentioned above, these new detectors should be "loaned" to some qualified hunters like ladd, and perhaps a few others who can genuinly use them over a period of time, and then report on what they think to all of the people here!..i for one am tired of politically motivated tests and testers for pure marketing reasons!..put 'em in the hands of long time hunters who will tell ya about the negative,as well as the positive!..totally unbiased hard line hunters with nothing to gain,or lose!

So can you tell me of some examples where testers have panned a detector in a significant way to the public? Not many come to mind but maybe I'm just not remembering as I can do that at times. I do know of a few situations where testers actually gave feedback to the factory that a particular proto was crap but that never got published. Another reason I don't get too excited about tester feedback to the masses. Now that's not to take ANYTHING away from the efforts of testers but just an acknowledgement of what and how the info tends to flow. That's just nother reason why I feel the way I do in that by the time a detector is ready for release, MOST if not all the obvious problems are addressed. Now if FRL would have tested the F-75's to the point of recognizing that the grip material is faulty, for example, we would have gotten the detector 9 to 12 months later and the price would have been higher. The early consumers will serve as a test bed to a degree whether we like it or not. Again, JMO.

Thats a good one. One area in a lake here is more or less divided up as to where the "adults" anchor to play and a seperate area close by where families with youngun's tend to congregate. I have found good stuff in both areas but you know which one I hit first!

yes apparently this has been the case right along!..ya just have to purchase it,and run with it to find out the proper information!..of course the best critic is oneself, and toss the dice because life IS a gamble in so many ways!..don't wake me up from my dream..i am comfortable with it!.
