All finds shown were found in researched public city parks and old school sites.
Finds are from the last 2 weekends with most of the finds including the half dollar and gold ring coming from South Dakota during the weekend before last; before the cold snap and harder ground came.
Minelab eTrac was the only detector used.
The 1944 Walker was about a 10-12-inch-deep target.
The gold ring was a big surprise. It gave me worn nickel numbers (11 ferrous / 11 conductivity numbers on eTrac) and was about 9-10 inches deep.
It looks to have an Ostby & Barton 10 K stamp. Ostby & Barton was founded in 1879. One of the founders, Englehart Ostby actually perished on the Titanic when he was 64 years old.
Another unique find was that huge old brass necklace pendant. A large flat button was pulled close by, so I know it has some good age to it.
The little silver 'Star of David' pendant was pulled in some hard ground last weekend. I was happy to pull that as it was giving me wheat penny numbers for a signal.
