Best saltwater machine?

Hey I have a 1280x which is good but is a bit nosey in the saltwater. What is a good saltwater machine? Thanks in advance.

i love my tesoro sand shark. it is rock solid and good mannered - it only talks to me when it is time to scoop. the tesoro warranty and service is great. i had to send my shark in for repairs as i had broken the control housing. they charged me $41 to replace the housing. they included (free of charge) another battery holder + plastic coil bolt + screw. round trip time was 17 days.

You may as well ask which car manufacturer is best. LOL youll get every answer in the book. My best answer is buy the best you can afford and learn to trust what its telling you. After that its just a matter of getting the loop over the shiny stuff. I use the Excal 10" II if that helps.

I just moved back to the coast 7 weeks ago, I,ve been out everyday with the Whites Surf pi pro, cant fault it, my other machines are just sat indoors gathering dust. If you can live with digging iron a pi is the way to go

[size=medium]After reading all of the submissions on which is the best for saltwater, what it amounts to is which is best for your area. Salt water at one beach...... say OC, Maryland is different then saltwater in Florida, or for that matter, from beach to beach along with the mineral makeup of the sand and targets. So you are going to have several different ideas on detectors. My advice is go watch the local hunters, talk to them and find out what they are using and which works best in your area.......this is from my experiences traveling, detecting, watching other hunters and using different water detectors...... joe[/size]
