Best detector for battlefield hunting

Hello guys
I'm looking for a good relic metal detector.

I'm gonna to hunt in battlefields here in Europe with a lot of little shrapnel, so I need a good discrimination, but not so extreme, 'cause not all the iron is bad (helmets, grenades, weapons parts..).

I have a XL PRO, but would like to add a Tejon. Good choice or it will make me dig every little shrapnel?

Let me know.

Best regards,

Ale

I have hunted battle fields in Germany with the cibola and it did fantastic. The lite weight is the key to a 8 or ten hour hunt. At 2.2 pounds you can swing all day with real good performance also! I now have a vaquero and I think it would be even better. You can also get ride of small iron with no problem. Here are some of my finds with the cibola. :usaf:

The Tejon's dual Disc will help eliminate a lot of the iron. Also has good depth. GH, David@Dixie

The Tejon is an excellent choice with the dual disc controls. With the 5.75 coil it work's iron as well as any detector, better than most.

Where in Europe are you hunting? I have a visit coming up and can bring my Tejon for you to try. I will be coming in November and will be in Mainz and other places.

I don't do battlefields, but for what relic I do, at the moment, the Tejon is my first usually, although I take a few other machines along. Tejon with 5.75 coil.
