Best coil for relic hunting in a field

That would be a large coil to cover the open area quicker. I wouldn't think there would be that much trash causing masking. Of the Whites coils that would be the 10d2 or the 12" concentric.

I need a DD type coil in my ground so I use a 10x12 SEF. This is the White one made to run on a V3i detector. There has been complaints about quality control with the null of these coils. My is one that as a good null.

Yeah I am using the stock coil, but I was wondering how deep that one will go. It has been great so far.

I have a spot where the Super 12" is king. (Funny thing is my second most used coil there is the little 5.3). Household type targets like thimbles, buttons and coins show up in patches and the separation the 5.3 gives is nice here and use a cup rod without even taking off my control rods (for the 12") off the machine. I've tried to put an A/B switch on (to run both) but too much signal loss. (Todd at White's said this was what to expect but had to try....had some satellite dish type of parts.)

Look into the bigdawg 20x3 coil great coverage for large areas but only pick up quarters up to7inches deep. Not V rated so only good to use in 2.5 or 7.5 freq works rest for me on sports feilds. They have just started taking orders again
