I dug this using my xp deus near fort Freemont on Saint helena island in beaufort sc. Does anyone know exactly what I've found? Is it worth anything? I also dug a few other items a pocket knife, a button, and a another belt buckle. There are a few items I cannot identify. Any help Would be greatly appreciated.

This looks to be an officers rectangular sword belt plate. Very nice Save. It looks to be in overall good shape with the hardware missing from the buckles back. Congrat's. Nice saves of the other finds as well. I lived in Beaufort, S.C. while I was in the Marine Corps and stationed aboard Parris Island from 1976-1979. This was before I seriously got into relic hunting.

Thank you very much. I sure do appreciate it.

The longer cylindrical item looks to me like a jag used for rifle bore swabbing and cleaning????
Cool find on the buckle for sure!!!!

1851 pattern officers sword belt plate. I believe this one is circa 1900 Because of the attachments that were on the back. Nice find
my brother lives on Fripp Island just outside of Beaufort

This should be it. This one pictured may be a replica
