Been awhile but finally found some more gold!

REVIER

Well-known member
My parks are all super trashy, mineralized and iron infested so gold is way more elusive than the parks I used to hunt in Kansas in that beautiful black dirt.
Still, it's out there...just gotta work a lot harder to find it.
Today was a good day.
2.3g of 14k.

Fits my wife's pinky perfectly so it's hers now.

“ you ain’t in Kansas anymore” (quote from wizard of oz)... that’s a beauty there... and it is appropriatly marked as it would make me happy too...congrats.. you can’t go wrong giving it to the wife, will buy you some more detecting time..

Yea it was funny, after I started bringing home gold and silver for the wife she started telling me to go hunting a lot more.
Thanks!

Nice find Revier, that gold is definitely hard to find among all that trash.

Thanks!
Fairly easy to notice them in great dirt, all I had to do is get my coil over it.
In this mess it's different...but still doable.
The Nox was up to it, today.

Thanks, luck is always welcome when you are a gold hunter!

Congratulations! You found an absolute stunner.

Thank you!
I have two good rings with ice I have kept for myself, one I like so much I had it resized to fit me.
My wife's jewelry box is filled with way more "recovered" gold than that.
Curiously, a lot of my silver finds seems to have gravitated over to her jewelry box, also.
Such is life.

Nice score! I went for a four hour park hunt two days ago. I set my Equinox to only accept a small amount of “good” targets. Ended up digging pull tabs and bits of aluminum all day. I told myself before the hunt to be ready for this outcome.

TY.
I do that a lot, set up to look for most targets and appreciate the coins but digging all the solid stuff in the junk range just in case which worked on this hunt.
The outcomes usually the same as you but I never let it get me down because just being out there enjoying the fresh air and digging getting exercuse is the big reward, for me.
I look at precious metal hunting the same as the Edison quote about experimenting with longer lasting light bulbs.
To paraphrase...

"I didn't fail to find gold, silver or platinum...I just used this hunt to identify areas where none happened to be hiding" .
