Beat myself over the head i killed my GT :ranting:

I'm on Long Island. I have been working on Sovereigns for a long time. Got a pic of the damage board? There is a possibility it could be made to work again. I also have some Elite cases that could help you. Nothing perfect mind you but better then you got I'm guessing. I picture would be great!

Hi Bob thanks for the offer i took the box to a friend out at Montauk on the South Fork he detects with me he also builds his own computers pretty bright guy when it comes to circuit boards and electronics's he is going to see if he can salvage it and let me know in the mean time i have a loaner a XS-2 to use , iam hoping for the best . The guy i gave my broken box to called me this morning and said it is not as bad as it looks in a few days he will have it fixed and working :please: he is a retired Sperry Rand worker he helped make and design computerized gyroscopes for Military aircraft WOW he said the board did not crack through and the where the coil wire plugs in the back can be replaced he will soldier all the wire,s with no problem as far as the housing it,s just cosmetic the wonders of super glue lol , well it looks good the news he has the rest of the parts i need in his home work shop he told he is putting a Handle with Care sticker on the box lol , that is a big relief to me its like losing my first dog 14 years . I owe him a lunch at Crabby Jerry's in Greenport out here and a huge thank you . Thanks all for your offers and help 1 hand washes the other :thumbup: Jim

Jim now your GT box has some "character" lol. Thats what I tell people my van has, nicks/scratches/small dents, they all have their little stories.

Neil my box has battle scares now lol but it works!! that is all that matters , it,s like my 1998 Chevy Tahoe 18 years at the super market i worked each dent is from shopping carts , Crabby Jerrys by me make.s the best fresh clam chowder daily ever made 8.00 a quart . .:thumbup: Jim
