I was at 5 beaches today (3/14/10) to scope out the activity in the gulf near Sarasota.
The water temps are lower than last year at this time and almost no one was in the water. Breakers were 3 to 4 feet and the cold water was keeping people in the sun and out of the water.
The Bling was not being lost where it should be so for now, the spring break is a bit of a letdown.

There isn't much in Daytona and I am normally on the beach 4-6 hours a day in the most popular spots!
I haven't even got to hunt yet 
All the sudden every thing is going on. To many projects to get finished up, so I can start hunting. Yard work, house repairs, and now a goat farm. I don't know a thing about a goat, but got to have animals to keep farm tax break, plus they will eat all the extra grass so no more mowing I hope. But to night I will go see what Bling is to be looted from the drunken ones.

Bayrat, you could have hunted the big storm that blew thru your area last week. I was there in the water finding nada. The sand has never left. What a big let down.
