Those look nice. I already bought some I'll have to live with on this trip.
 
i use scuba boots that i picked up at a scuba business yard sale, i think i paid $15. Work great, comfortable, and keep feet warm when water cold, and have been very durable, knock on wood.
 
normally, i use a pair of old sneakers and socks. sneaks--no metal as i would get a sounding with metal eyelets with my pi. the sneakers--kept my feet safe with the "mud" shovel i use on the beach. this morning, i pulled the plug on these:

I've used this pair for over 5 years. Lite Weight, notice where the Strap Sandal Supports are and I use a pair of cotton socks. I normally detect 12 hours per day Wet and Dry Conditions
