BDA's Best Week - What a Loot Fest:cool:

The clock ran down on the one week period that has turned out to be my best week of looting yet. I managed to find 5 silver pieces today but no gold, however I found my first Walking Liberty (this is a rare coin in Bermuda) and my last ring for the week a silver ring with marijuana leaves engraved in it.(this one will go to scrap)

So here's the totals:

9 Gold Rings, 1 Gold Ring with Ice and a Plat/18k Ring

3 Silver Rings, 2 Silver Bracelets and some silver earrings

3 Goldplated Junker Rings (including one sweet nitro CZ)

Also found today were the 1947 Walking Liberty Half, 2 Silver American Quarters 1944 and 1953 as well as Silver Religious Medallion. Regrettably, I had to borrow a Mate's camera at the end of today's hunt in order to take the above pics so I don't have a pic of the coins as they weren't cleaned yet. (the uncleaned marijuana ring and the medallion do appear in the 2nd pic)

It's going to be hard for me to top this week but you never know until you try.

Cheers All,

BDA:cool:

Hi BDA; Great finds. Way to go. Are you looking to adopt????? So, to think I thought Fort Knox was here in America. No I'm truly baffled.!!! :clapping:
Keep it up Best wishes. PEACE:RONB :detecting:

My body is really sore from all that digging, every day in the chilly waters. The cold water has been pulled up from the depths around Bermuda by all the gales that have been hitting the island since before Christmas, after a couple of hours my teeth are chattering, my muscles are seizing up and I'm out of pee to warm the wetsuit.:surrender: I woke up this morning feeling 68 not 48, the noises that came out of me were akin to an old wooden boat in a storm.
Going to head down to the beach later for another swish in the briney, my week may have ended but I'm hoping the streak is still on.:cool:

Take a break and go for a swim. Thats what I would do here after a particularly hard training or match. Swim in the ocean....it'll loosen you up because it makes you reuse almost all of your muscle groups.

I went back to Horseshoe Bay for one last go round but it was pretty slim for rings today. $2.00 worth of clad, $9.00 in ferry tokens and a Celebrity Cruise Lines token - Plus a Ring that turned out to be a junker with black stones.:( I had hoped it was at least silver but no luck.
It looks like Davey Jones has closed the lid on his loot chest for the moment. Time to change beaches.

BDA I do not know if you read comments on another writer but I tried the water method for a very short time and pulled a pull tab and bottle cap from under water using your method. It worked very well and I thank you for the advise. It got cut short with a lady loosing and earring and asked me to look for it. No we did not find it she remember having it last in the motel five blocks from the beach and she walked to and onto the beach in very vague area.
I did find more earrings this week end as spent more time in edge of eater and though digging is a bit more tiresome is more rewarding with some finds even though most all were junk there was a lot of jewelry junk.
Thanks for the advise and i hope to get abck in soom maybe tomorrow if aall goes well.
