I booked a flight tonight for Miami, landing March 29th for 10 days of looting. No itinerary, just a desire to loot and enjoy some warm water hunting for a change.
Miami to Key West and then up the Gulf Coast to Tampa, that's about as much of a plan as we've got. I would like to hunt Casa Marina and a few other nice older hotel beaches in the course of our visit.

The loot is out there, see you in the surf.

Cheers,

BDA:cool:

Thanks for the advice, I'll either pack a wet suit or buy a new one while I am there. BTW, is anyone from the Ocala/Orlando area? I want to take my wife for a hot air balloon ride and would sure appreciate a referral to a good (safe) balloonist.

Cheers All,

Eric

I'm hoping to run into some of the pirates I know only electronically while I'm am in Florida, I plan to be in Key West as well as the Gulf Coast from Naples to Tampa.

im in orlando...theres a few ballonist in the area that on most mornings fly out around disney.....

Thanks John, I noticed that there are quite a few balloonists near Disney on the internet. If I make it to that area I will try to meet with you.

Cheers,

Eric

Sounds like you'll be doing a bit of running around.. Enjoy your trip... Best of Finds to ya !!

Upon Reflection ** You may wanna do a search for Balloon rides in the Miami / Keys area.. That would be soo Awesome !!

:usaflag:casa marina, water hunting is deep ,beach, sea whall,4 foot deep water and gets deeper ,good finds at the dive platform.hunt the water and chairs by the pairasail area at smathers beach and snail trails, sandy areas in grass.this beach was dug in the 60s good luck. do you hunt wrecks?

I'm thinking of concentrating my surf pirating on the Treasure Coast. Gold, Plat and Ice I can find in Bermuda but an Escaudo is my holy grail. Going to have to use the Hoodoo to find that elusive ticket.
Wreck diving with detector in Bermuda is a one way ticket off the island with no return. Wreck diving is good but not if you are doing salvage without a permit and you can keep dreaming if you think you will ever see a permit without an archeological team on board. The days of treasure hunting that Teddy Tucker enjoyed are gone, at least legally.

As mich as I would love An Ice ojest I really want the Spanish coins or anything. Iam on the "treasure Coast and as close as I have seen is SHip copper nails. I hope to find anything from any era. I Think I could forgo the others if I could find any relic, coins form eras past.
Good luck when you arrive to the Sunshine State.
By the way In Miami yesterday and water appeared to have warmed from that in my area. Hopefully it will be even warmer when you arrive.

Hey BDA, This is a great link for the Treasure Coast. Good luck on your trip and HH.

Surely, Sinatra or Dino or even Sammy left something behind, back in the day. Still sorting things out but I expect to hit Casa Marina by the end of Easter weekend with a possible trip to the Treasure Coast in between The Palm and Casa Marina.
I just have to sort out where to stay/hunt on the Gulf Coast between Naples and Tampa, I'm sure something will come up.
