Battery holder for a TRX pin-pointer

I have filed two USPS service requests. USPS says they both have been marked "resolved" but there is not difference in tracking. It says it left my home town 8/4 and that it is arriving late. I filed another request. Left here 8/4 and still not delivered. They did say that by law, they don't owe me anything. Total incompetence from the USPS. I am sorry I didn't use UPS or Fed Ex.

Besides, rechargeable batteries are never dependable

I have been using rechargeable batteries for over 10 years and still have original 9V ones from then that work as long as any alkaline and don't cost a whole penny to recharge. I have AA rechargeable Eneloops, the low self discharge ones, that have provided perfect service. The cost savings have been considerable and I have never had one leak, unlike even new alkaline ones.

You are welcome. I never did want you to pay anything and for sure not for nothing. I will say that a rechargeable EBL 9v and charger for it have been reliable and cheap for me.

Do you seriously run a pin pointer battery down to worry about a simple battery? You turn on a PPr, pinpoint and turn it off and dig. Batteries last for months.

My rechargeable batteries have lasted for years with no end in sight! A penny saved is a penny earned. Alkaline cost at least $3. One charge costs maybe a penny. I use the same batteries in my detectors. I have detected many, many months. I have changed batteries in my pinpointer enough times to pay for the rechargeable ones and now don't have to pay anything except to charge them. I am glad you can afford new alkaline but I don't see any advantage--no leaking, costs much less, lasts at least as long per charge, less garbage--what's not to like? The junk yard is full of old batteries. None of my rechargeable ones have made it there yet and some are over 10 years old. If you like and can afford to use throw away batteries, it is up to you. But do you seriously think they are advantageous?

I have/had 6 ebl 9v batteries and 2 ebl chargers. After a year 2 batts and one charger bit the dust. The others have been good for another 2 years. When I buy 9v alkalines I buy Amazon basics at 8 for $12
