Batteries in the ACE

How low do you let your batteries get before you change them? I still have 3 bars showing so they should have plenty of charge left. Need your experience......Thanks

I let them go about that low and then change them out. I use rechargeable's and always have a set in the charger.

:usaflag:Mine are down to the lower end of two bars and it still works fine. Once it hits one bar I will definately change them.

I generally change them at one bar...after I have hunted in 1 bar for atleast 30 minutes. Then its safe to change...and you have used ALL available battery life. hh

Plus all the batteries don't drain off the same. You can pull them out and one will be dead or nearly dead and the rest will still have juice left. It's a crapshoot but after one has used one bar for a spell it's time to change..

I have ear phones but haven't been using them, the ear phones I got with my machine are kind of crappy. I will invest in a new pair. Any suggestions?

Earphones..........Only suggestion I can think of is get a pair with a volume control. REALLY helps!!!!!!!!!!

Went out today and the Ace turns on but stopped detecting anything. Only thing I can think of is the battery indicator has 1 bar left. Are these things known to act up when battery gets low?

Did you reboot it? Yes they will get a little squirrely when you get down to one bar and use it for a spell at that level. Do you use earphones? They extend battery life considerably. The speaker sucks the most juice over anything on the detector.
