easy mod and yeah its looked after :biggrin: we will see how the new black one does soon really wanting to test the 7" Concentric coil the old white one is hot on gold even at the outlaw kHz so fingers crossed this new one is a banger :bouncy: gold is the new silver if you are :pulltab: :buds:

thats what I meant when i started this thread...people seem to love this detector.... for all different sorts of reasons.....seems to be a very smoove rig
 
just to put on my psychologists hat for quick minute, I do believe suggestion is a powerful tool and if some say its good who others may hold in higher than "normal" regard then whether its good or not people believe its good, and "good" is a very subjective word "good" compared to what ?

its a metal detector they all have strengths and weaknesses finding out what they are sets someone on the right path to know when and where to use any tool.

I understand the different points of view in this thread, but my opinion is and always has been - - if YOU like it, use it. Don't be concerned about someone else's opinion. Also, I often puzzle over those that worship bells and whistles on newer machines. Handy, yes, but they don't ultimately do more than inform that the coil is over a metal target, just the same as the simplest early beep and dig machines.Use what you like and have fun and find lots of goodies.

Just got a new Vaquero today. I hope it's as good as that Bandido. I had a Cibola and loved it but alas it went the way of many. This one is a keeper. I think now I may sell my Shadow X2. Have to think on that.
 
Rusty Henry at Tesoro told me that the Outlaw was set up with a little more juice that the B2. The conversation was a few years ago so I cannot recall exactly what he said, but I seem to recall him saying that the Outlaw was about 15% deeper and the disc expansion was set a little wider at the top end, than the B2. I never ran a B2 so I could not speak from actual experience, but that is what I was told.

I see that about the disc difference, but depth seems about the same to me, at least with the examples I have here. It's probably just the way Bandido looks and sounds, that makes me want to grab it first. Outlaw is just as capable.
I go through periods of pulling out models I haven't used for a while and playing with 'em for a week or two. Outlaw with 8", and Mojave in the car right now. Think I'll run a different combo next week. It's been warm here the past few days; time to hit those sled runs and see what the snow dummies left.. :smoke:
 
I do the same pinenut.
Makes it harder to learn any if them really well, but I bore easily.
Luckily I have 11 machines to keep my interest.
I have started picking ones I like more for certain hunting.
Looking forward to taking the Mojave and Deleon out to some parks.
