Bandido II owners, need some pointers

but it only takes that one real nice ring and all my detectors just got paid for, so its a hope game and a trust game and most certainly a patience game

most people are not cut out to dig crap all day its why I have 24/7 security you cant pay for  most of my security comes cheap and free from the wonders of ingenuity and people who think those little things on their can of drink are meant to be dismembered from the can and thrown on the ground :buds:

Good points gentleman.
I know it's not easy.
Haha I set my disc barely above iron and do the thumb deal just to test myself on well I'm getting to know my detector in my area. Where is disc out has nothing to do with whether I dig, unless I barely touch the disc from where I set it and it disappears already.
I only thumb to test myself and learn where things fall out for later knowledge and use.

Ironically, so far my favorite has been my compadre, but that's also because it's the one I've used most and had most finds with.
If I hunt with the bandido and find mre stuff, that will be my favorite lol.
But for my current hunt goal in the area I have where that ring was lost, I think I'll stick with the compadre because I know it.
If/when the ring is found, I'll experiment with my Bandido and learn it's number disc system and stuff.
I'm really excited because I have 4 epsilon coils that will work on it... 8 donut, 5.75, 4, and that troy super 7 that was just rebuilt and retuned.
I might have to just take a break from that area and go play with the bandido lol. But I really want that ring!!
And judging that I found a 64 half dollar near that area in same apt complex, I'm sure Noone has hunted it, at least not in the last 3 years since the ring was lost....

i wouldn't put much credence in the lost ring story , well i should say i wouldn't

best off heading to a place where people would lose rings as in running jumping catching a ball, changing clothes etc...

the B2 with the 7" mono is a good set up for gold rings , i was using its newer version today and will tomorrow as well it does good on low conductors.

good luck anyway what and where ever you go for a hunt  we need a bit of luck to i think :clapping:

It is of questionable help to name numbers for the machine's that use them unless every pot and knob are set exactly to begin with -- SO what I do is pass the coil over a nickel thumbing the disc until I lose the signal, then back off until the signal is solid, then leave it, or mark it if you choose. This setting should pick up most gold jewelry and, unfortunately, some tabs. I often thumb the disc above this while swinging and the farther the signal lasts, the more likely it will be a coin. You should soon discover that zincs will drop out a bit below copper, silver and clad coins and may prefer to mark that setting as well. This is a quick and easy way to deal when there is no coin marking on the face plate and to get to know how the disc on your particular machine responds.
