Bag seal blank?

Ism

Well-known member
Hi, I found this in an area that gives up pre-1900 artifacts. It's not a musket ball but might be an old-style fishing weight.
I'm leaning toward a lead bag seal blank. I can feed a wire through the holes. Anybody seen one of these before?

Thanks for the reply. You're absolutely right. I decided to squeeze the end where the holes are located like one would with split shot, and a seam opened up on the other side.
