Backup detector - do you have one? Whats your combo?

I too would like to know more.. if You were to buy a new Land Detector....

I currently own an Excalibur 1000 and a whites xlt......

Now I'm looking to upgrade from the XLT and Im just not sure what would be the best choice.....

Was interested in the Explorer SE But was looking to all for some advice......

I generally hunt all area's......

Black sand washes in the desert....
Wet Sand and Dry Sand beaches, some with Blk sand aswell. Like coin and relic hunting aswell.....

I'm just looking for the Best All around Detector avail... And I figured I would get some good feedback from you guy's gal's here...

I guess my primary would have to be the one I've had the longest, which would be a Golden MicroMax.

So my backup would be which ever other one I'm fooling with at the time. I'm not sure which one that is at the moment. Probably the DFX.

You hit the nail on the head pal,I use a mid 80's groundhog and a Tesoro[ DINGO ] made for Australia only and dig good targets...

Well, the Excalibur is used in the wet sand at the beach and I keep swapping the Explorer II and the Xterra 70 when land hunting depending on my mood. I guess the XT70 would be considered the back up but I use them both about the same.
