back up plan paid off

Yesterday I drove to a freshwater beach an hour away. This beach is small but can be productive if I am the first one to search it when summer is over. That doesn’t always happen so I needed a backup plan in case someone had already ransacked the beach. Which is what transpired, the beach had already been searched. With the AT PRO, i only pulled 65 cents in modern change and a little trash from the water and sand.

Time for the backup plan. I drove a short distance to the city park and over the next couple hours using the F70, I pulled a little under seven dollars in clad (30 dimes). Also managed to find a silver dime (‘64 Rosie).

Driving home, it was close to dusk. I must have seen 30 whitetail deer along the road. Luckily, none crossed the road in front of me. GL&HH

Good haul larbear!!! I hit the shores of Lake Michigan last week found 75 cents. The coins I found looked like they had been minted and dropped the day before lol. Always have a plan B. hhrickinmi

A productive day. good call on the backup plan. When i'm on a detecting road trip I always have a plan A,B,and C. It has paid off many times. Nice find on the silver Rosie.

Thanks rick in mi, finding only 65 cents in the water made me want to find more somewhere else before returning home. It sure was nice when plan B gave up the goods.

Thanks miserman, that’s a good idea to have plan a,b, and c. I was thinking that if that park hadn’t been good, I might have to try and find a promising private permission. It seems like there usually is another alternative if the first two plans don’t work out. Easier on the stress level if multiple backup plans are in place.
