Back to my "new" hunting spot.

Most of this place has been cleaned out. the larger / cleaner areas are void of old targets. I find clad & junk but that is about the scope of it. However there is this one area filled with tons of iron... Maybe those who detected it in the past didn't have the patients? I was using my Equinox 800 and the following settings: GB-0, 50 tones, F2-0, recovery-4, Park1-Multi.
As you can see from the photo, I dug my share of junk and treasure! Crawling through the iron is plucking out the goodies for me. 27 wheaties from the 1940's and 50's and a new record of 8 silvers in one hunt! Thanks for looking!

Nice load up of targets! Happy for you for sure!

Earthlypotluck, I see you had the recovery speed at 4, did you slow your swing speed any from normal? Nice haul! I’ve never pulled 8 silvers on one hunt.

Thank you. Yes, It’s imperative to slow down coil speed with a slower recovery speed otherwise it defeats the whole purpose. “Normal swing speed” is subjective in the field of detecting. Having said this, I need to know what normal is to you. Is this moving your coil 3 feet in 4 seconds or in 1 second or is it something different? If you would like to talk or ask more questions, feel free to pm me. - Jim

A great hunt , I enjoyed the photos also ! Where you using the stock coil ? Congrats !
Thanks. Yes I was using the stock coil and I am amazed how well it separates even in heavy iron.
