Well I had to go back and it was dead low tide at about 8am I got there at 7.
I started down from the spot we hit on Thursday and I had three barber dimes in minutes!
As I was walking along I saw a coin on the surface a 1919 SLQ! No digging that one as I walked the waters edge I had a high tone that was masked bad by iron sure enough a brown nasty quarter size coin to my surprise it’s a 1876 seated quarter!
Got a 1935 mercury also deep in the sand and a super worn V nickel barber dimes dates are 1893. 1908 1909 I think
I can’t wait to go back never know what’s going to turn up still hopefully gold !
If you have a old river or swimming area by you try detecting it you may be surprised!

Very nice ! And good advice on hitting a swimming area ! I got six gold rings around a spot like that in one hunt.
 
Ever think about making a shaker and just start sifting thru sands??? Ok, not feasible but still not a bad idea. We have a Prospecting and Beep and Dig forum so why not a Sifter and Drifters group??? I digress…..😂

Thanks it’s just a super thrill to have a new spot give up some old coins that’s probably never been detected I had some big fish on the beach next to me chasing bunker should have had my fly rod !!!

Take me with you 🫢 this way I can detect for coins while you try to catch what was chasing the bunker 😂

Awesome finds Mark! With the finds you are making, you know it’s never been detected. It’s only a matter of time before you show us the big silver!

Wow that’s low. I’ve had dimes read 20-21 but never 14-15. Glad you dug Mark!
 
If you ever hunt the saltwater or brackish water the signals can sound a lot lower or higher than normal so dig it! or you will miss coins and the signals are not always the best sounding especially if its a deep target.sometimes you have to circle around the target to.
