Australia

but credit where credit is due we are a resourceful bunch and get what we need without using the dysfunctional system set up by US detector company's with so called dealers in Australia , pointless setting up trade sanctions we are Aussies :poke: convicts remember :lmfao: so doing things by the book is not in our culture :jump:

so bring on the next con man of a dealer here he will go broke too :ban:

anyway I don't need no detectors so I really don't care :wiggle:

but you have been informed and if the same stuff continues recon minelab will be up to the 90 percentile of sales in Australia .

AJ
Minelab has probably greased the palms of your elected officials and made campaign contributions to ours here in the US, to have some half baked trade sanctions on metal detector imports to Australia from the US. would not surprise me a bit. haha

anything is possible but I do believe its placed on US dealers by US company's for what reason I have no idea !! all it does is drive people nuts, most people would buy from Australian dealers anyway , but its the little bits and pieces we all need that are not stocked that are the killer and with no way to get them for a fair price people go elsewhere , anyway I don't care I have all the Tesoro stuff I need and none of it was bought of an Australian dealer, so well it doesn't work does it LOL, but it does mean ordering in bulk to make it worth while.

so really I don't care what Tesoro does , I don't need anything they have.

shame for those who want to try though.

AJ

Currently have an insurance query about a stolen tigershark in Australia. Insurance company happy to replace but can't buy one from the states due to Tesoro protection rules, can't buy one in Australia due to no distributor so guy is getting stuffed around even with insurance. Tesoro needs to sort this out quickly.

Hello Parsec
We received your phone call this morning and could you shoot us a email back at.. support@Tesoro.com
thanks

Thanks ozzaum, I have sent an email so you have my address, thanks. Various emails to info@tesoro.com over the last few months from myself and many others in Australia remain unanswered. There is a general feeling in Australia that Tesoro ignores queries from here, are actively blocking them or are not responding to emails at all. Many Tesoro fans have been ripped off by Aussie Detecting and Prospecting as the official supplier of Tesoro into Australia. The lack of communication just rubs salt into the wound. Tesoro was notified in August if not before about the issues. Thanks for getting involved and helping folk out now,

There are some very passionate and loyal Tesoro fans here, you are losing them quickly ...

time will tell hey  good you are getting what you need there parsec, while your at it just remind them trade sanctions don't work never have never will.

I just need some bit and pieces, black arm cuffs, coil bolts etc.. I got more chance of finding a 10 pound nugget in the back yard, is there like a Bermuda type thing going on in AZ , cause its sure hard to get 5 $ parts out of there, absolutely discussing Tesoro, I need a few bits and pieces, pointless trying to get anything in Australia like those small parts, because of your absolutely ridiculous T&C's to protect who exactly ????

sure are not looking after the people who put food on your plate and that would be us detectorists not your beloved dealers.

do not buy a Tesoro if you live in Australia !!

AJ

I have spent days looking and this is as good as gets http://www.crawfordsmd.com/laser-arm-cup that's $120 AUD for 2 shipped, is that how Tesoro really wants to be known??

I give credit where credit is due and yeah they make nice detectors, but if you need spare parts here what a joke 120 bucks for 10 $ worth of parts, Tesoro if you can not find a dealer in Australia who is going to stock spare parts why bother really :punch: I am well very disappointed to say the least.

I can get parts for my gold racer in a flash delivered fast and for the right price, might be time to change brands unless you pull your socks up !!

like really 100 $ for a coil bolt come on not even minelab do that.

AJ

I will sort this mess out some how, but words cant explain my frustration although I have tried to verbalize it , its just so very hard walking a path with a company is has no idea what we have to deal with here.

AJ

seems like we might have a new dealer here who actually gives a sh$t after the last dope who gave Tesoro a huge black eye, so as always I call it as I see it till I find out different, so things might be turning around here about time too, so I have some hope at last for Tesoro here.

now maybe with a new dealer we can get what we need and not have money stolen and 3 and 4 month waits , so maybe I can take a brake and breathe :beers:

AJ

The ungodly costs are NOT all Tesoros fault as HUGE import taxes on electronics imports into Oz. Your local import duty office will amaze, and tick you off, on what is charged . Check out numerous items as insane taxes-I used to sell to Oz in the mid 80s and quit due to this tax insanity. John

couldn't even get anything before John as in spare parts even if I had a million $ and no that's not Tesoro's fault in one way , but they are the ones along with many other manufactures that impose trade sanctions to Australia, and yep add all the taxes and we get screwed all over the place, dollar is down against the green back, a previous dealer/importer that was stealing peoples money or taking 3 or 4 months to deliver a detector, and as I said forget about spare parts.

so we have had a rough go of it the last few years, new dealer/importer seems the real deal so there is hope.

yes Australia is one of the most expensive places to live in the world if not number one.

nice place though I wouldn't live anywhere else but never say never right

so yeah I blew of some steam and well frustration I guess but fingers crossed we are heading down a much better rd. now as far as Tesoro is concerned and well I wouldn't worry if I didn't like them would just sell them and go elsewhere, so in a way my rant was a complement

they do the bizz for me in finding gold I know they maybe seen as out dated and in a lot of respects they are, but the simple turn on beep and dig works plus they do like gold, are light and easy to swing when getting up and down every minute well the CTX just doesn't cut it, nice detector and has its uses park gold hunting isn't one of them for me.

anyway talking to much , but final result is things are looking up in getting the small stuff we all need from time to time.

so I am resting a bit easier

AJ

All this would have not happened if David Bishop was still the distributor...That man was as honest as you would ever meet in a person.

I was stung by the shonk ( but ended well), and as far as parts for Tesoro's goes ( would like a couple of different coils myself) I'm sure we will still be paying through the teeth and waiting longer than we should, new dealer or not. As most of us buy from the the computer chair, absolutely no need for dealers here.
