I never said the price was from mashdetectors it was of a compony on ebay I thinks they said that they would lower the value to $1500 I think it's to do with the shipping to the uk make the value sound cheaper than what it is so the customs and duty charges are cheaper?
 
Hi Guys.
I did contact Mashdetectors ref Shipping to Australia. They were very quick with the reply and this is part of the email "I would prefer to send to your US address if you do order one, so to keep safe my dealership". There is a company called comGateway.com that supply a USA address and they resend from that address. With the fall in the Aussie dollar it isn't worth it now but hopefull you guys in the UK might get a better exchange rate. I have got a few things resent from this company and they are very quick and will try and save to postage by repacking but I haven't needed that service. I ended up talking to a dealer here in Australia and he gave me a good deal. The ATX should arrive today. :clapping:

$1500 seems much too cheap thats only around 900 pounds surely. Thats less than half the UK dealers price. Thought the proper dealer price in the US was about $2400.
 
Don't supose that I started Detectors being sold at a better price in the UK but I have just checked a UK metal detector web site and the ATX can be purchased with a £300 discount, this brings it more in line with the US price which means that they will possibly sell far more.
