AT PRO at the beach today ...

The balance was off in the wet sand there is no way you can balance salt out at +90. need to be some where between 0 and 20 on the balance to make it work.
If you still get some falsing you may notch out the first notch in foil this will make you loose some very small gold and earrings thin gold chains but will make it quite in
The wet stuff. Salt has a positive reading right in that area that is why you are getting the false signals it is reading the salt. All vlf detectors do this the dual feq machines
Just balance it out automatically. Give that a try and let me know how you do.

Thank you for the reports. I just may have hoped too much for this machine's use here in the salt water. Our highly materialized sand and then add salt water could be over the top for this machine. Well ... i am sure that with proper control tweaking it still may work in the water here in Hawaii. Further testing and adjustments when in use by you others will tell. HH Mikey

Thanks for all of your posts!

It's been a good resource for those of us who can't
detect in the North where its cold ....brrr.

The PRO MODE works great in wet salt sand!
GB in auto (I got a reading of 13) and adjust the sensitivity to 80%.
I was able to go all the way to MAX here on the gulf beach.

Works great ... detects deep ... full report and photos on the beach forum.
