At Least the CTX3030 Flies 1st Class...

Ahh Okinawa japan.... camp shield seabee base. How I miss those days.. oh well its been 15 years. Always thought I should have gotten into this hobby earlier. Be careful with metal detecting there. They have some weird strange laws lol

Detected a lot in Okinawa when I was stationed there from 2000-2003 - no issues and a TON of finds. Now I am up in Mainland Japan - ZAMA. Ground here is verrrrry mineralized, so much so that the CTX has a hard time! It's spending a lot of time in the hard case right now. My ATX works great, but I dig a lot of trash and it's crazy heavy. Found good middle ground using my XP Deus, light as a feather, goes deep and more stable in this black sand/volcanic dirt.

During early development of the CEE T eX, I complained that it was too BIG and SHOULD have a 3pc shaft system...
The thing just wouldn't fit in my 'usual carry on' bag...
See the 'usual carry on' bag with an eX fifty...there's even room for clothes!! Handy on vacation!!
