Are you listening Whites...

I see some conversation relative a new Whites unit..Why not bring back the 6000 pro XL with a varible notch and tone ID as it has the best most accurate meter on the market and the unit before the heavier XL model was a favorite for many years. I do understand one fellow is modding the older XL's to give tone ID which they needed and perhaps someone could add that info..Analog may be considered old hat to many but why do away with a winner as many prefer analog and would give the consumer his choice without all the programs, tweaking etc. of your top of the line models....Just a thought having my first cup of coffee...And yep have used both analog and digital...

In Italy we've just done that kind of mod to 5 XL PROs.
Now our XL is multi tones (four tones, the range of every tone could be changed by acting on a internal trimmer) and it has got a mixed mode, like XLT.
There are two kits going through the Ocean to a Findmall forumer, who contacted us by mail.
Now we only need a big DD coil, a 6x10 should be the top, and we will have the best analogue detector.

I wish White's would offer an analog machine too!!! I only need a meter that has iron / non iron on it. (Good / Bad). My old Bounty Hunter Outlaw used to do that. The only problem was it lacked depth. That was 30 years ago. I would think that by now we could get that depth back!!! For me, I dig any target that is not iron. Are you listening White's or do we have to hire our own electronic engineer to start pumping out the machines we want??? Just my thoughts.

excellent idea dan!..i am wondering if whitey is listening!..my guess is they got something "cookin",but not ready to let it out just yet!..maybe we'll see something with the spring market! you.can bet that money is NOT an issue,as sweet home has the resources to "get 'er done!"

I like the idea. One of my favorite detectors that I no longer have, I guess I will end up with another one sometime in the future. While they are at it, make it so the user could switch between 2 or 4 filters, that way it really make it hard for competition.

Lets see what your made of. Made in U.S.A. No more rehashes of other models no matter how good they WERE. It's time to show the others what your made of. I keep waiting and waiting and waiting. Sorry, no model 300 with a bigger coil is going to cut it. Still have hope although that Fisher F-5 looks pretty good I think I will wait and see, I hear rumors there is something coming out soon. Can't wait.

Yep...Dyed in the wool analog meter guy here...My 6000 Di Pro XL continues to amaze me after all these years. Currently killing wheaties, Rosies, Mercs & buffaloes behind some new high $$$ units...(not just White's).

nasty unit!..always was!..i got the xl-pro,and it will stay with anything made today!.a "natural!"

excellent point!..love to be able to switch "poles" as the nasty "girl" will hunt even better in the trash!..just think a xl-pro with a two pole,or (filter) circuit design, along with the killer depth, and "dead nuts" accurate meter!..a genuine "world beater"!..(hot damn!)..ken are you listening?

excellent idea dan!..would love to see at a minimum, a tone id function as it would be a seamless improvement to coincide with the "dead nuts" accurate analog meter!
