no, i don't think wer'e "normal" in the sense of the word. i do know that we are intelligent, inquisitive, and adventurous. and the hobby actually pays back what you put into it, being fun in the process. i believe that our ability to go out, invest in a good machine, and secure the past through our hobby while preserving our past puts us in high stead. future generations will thank us.
