Happens on fishing sites all the time. It happened to me. Talk about a hot spot and BAM its packed with guys.
With fishing, it doesnt really matter, but with metal detecting, well, coins dont grow back. Once theyre gone, theyre gone forever.
I cringe when I look around the internet and see specific names of locations being made. I feel bad for the poster.
I guarentee you when someone sees a "finds pic" of a seated dime in a coin holer and the writing on the holder says something like "XYZ park 4-3-13" theres gonna be a lot more traffic at XYZ park and you just blew up your own spot.
Its like the old saying, dont GIVE a man a fish.....TEACH him. Thats why Im here, for learning tactics, techniques, and motivation. I get a lot more out of this site by participating with all of you who I consider to be my metal detecting colleagues and contemporaries.
