Are LF coils still viable

Had to ask cause I've never had the x35, did have the 5x10 and 9 hf coils . I'm not necessarily a relic hunter but do like digging everything depending on site .. So, before I buy a LF 11 or 11x13 can somone explain to why you wouldn't buy a LF coil?
 
I don't think they make them any more. Gary Blackwell says the LF coils work great with version 5.21 so if you can get a good deal on one just plan on replacing the battery soon.
 
Yes the early black coils will work fine with your Deus, as Mike says just take care with older used coils, be prepared to replace the battery if required.
