Anyone use or make a small sifter??

Hey all
Just trying to get some ideas. What I'm running into is the really small stuff falling through my scoop. I'm not in the water. I hunt the dry and wet when the tide is out. The ET is very good at hitting small targets with the pattern and settings i use. Its just chasing them that is a pain lol.

What I'm looking for is something i can carry that isn't too bulky. Maybe something i can clip to my belt?

Thanks all

I took a gallon milk jug fashioned the scoop the way I wanted and drilled holes in it It workes great for dry sand Im not too sure abt wet.

I picked up a small 18 in or so wire basket type for the dry since I got a new DFX and it's too much of a pain for the big one. You could get one of those and just line it with smaller mesh.

I found this at a " dollar store". It fits in a nail apron or back pocket. Check the kids toy section; this time of year all the beach toys are on the shelves. The coin in the picture is a quarter. HH.

I use a spade and pocket uniprobe combo(other probes will do the job) picked up quite a few earing backings that are imposible to see other than with a pinpointer especially in the wet, a fine mesh sifter will clog in the wet and take too long especially when time is an essence at low water.

Thanks for the help guys. I'll make sure to bring my Pro Pointer along next time.

I cut a small piece of hardware cloth and fit it in the bottom of my scoop. I think it is one quarter inch. But I just use it when I'm in the water. It works.HH:minelab:
