i love the old detectors, but will be 70 years old in Nov. i think i am going to find something lighter. I have a Eagle 11 sl, a XLT, A 5900, a 6000 id pro, all of these are very good detectors but need to be a young man to hunt with them long. When i sell one or two i will get a Deus, i think.

finally got my wife into detecting and thought well, Nothing as simple to swing with a bad back as the detectorpro for her. I have been swinging the simplex as of late and its a pretty good unit . Havent done any mods in some time now since Tesoro Went ofb. Units are still out there for the grabs. Good to see your still on the forum Sven. Been a long time for me. Hope all is well your way.

im still swinging a detector pro underwater (y)
how you been ray?

Occasionally I do. My biggest complaint with the VLF units is the audio. If the audio had a small signal boost like the audio in the CZ's have, it would be a different animal. If it is quiet around, they can get reasonable depth when you listen for whispers, but when the wind and waves kick up it becomes hard to hear it and I don't end up digging anything more than a couple inches deep with one.
