General Rules

The Finds Treasure Forum Classifieds is for individual use only with the exception of banner advertising buyers. Those buyers may advertise their traded in, discontinued models, etc.

Individual sellers may post their normal unwanted detectors, or accessories in assigned classified forums, but they  cannot exceed (1) one item in a (3) three month period for each classified forum.

Only For Sale, For Trade, or Wanted to Buy ads are allowed.

Only Forum Members Registered for  90 days or longer that have more than 24 significant posts in our other forums, may post For Sale or Trade ads.

Rules for Non Sponsoring Sellers:

  • Items for sale, or for trade, should be your own personal property and be accurately described.
  • Your for sale or trade post should be self contained, without references to another site where you may also have it for sale.
  • Do not put links to eBay.
  • Do not put links to other forums where you may also have the same item for sale or trade.
  • Dealers are not allowed to post in Classifieds unless they are a sponsor.

Advertisements not adhering to the above rules will be deleted without warning or notification.

Anyone get their Equinox from Kellyco yet??

Has anyone gotten any credible information about WHEN they might receive their Equinox from Kellyco, yet?
 
I canceled my order because I got one faster somewhere else and it took a week to get my money back on my PayPal account think that was my last kellyco experience.
 
I'm sorry about your Kellyco experience. I am an EX Kellyco customer too. Like a baked potato, I'm DONE.
 
I ordered and paid November 10th. They wont tell me anything either. Doesn't it seem a little strange that both Kellyco and Minelab are keeping everyone in the dark about quantities? I don't mind waiting as much as being left in the dark. Seems like a poor management of the situation to me.
 
First they contracted to do Minelab repairs and got backed up for 6 month and made many people mad plus I am sure Minelab too. Then they took orders for the Equinox and probably more than they should have and have a hard time getting them for some reason which to me is odd as they always got their Minelabs before other dealers did from past experience. They they are a Nokta disc for the USA and yet they dont have the accessories for them like the small coils I have read, so many have to order from dealers over seas.
I do find it odd they dont seem keep those that ordered and paid for them updated like my dealer I ordered mine from.
No one seem to admit that ordered from them have got theirs Equinox yet, maybe the person that used to post that he has a good friend at Kellyco and had kept us updated will update us again what is going on.
Myself I have always got what I had ordered from them like coils and digging tool have always had good results and ship in a reasonable time, even bought my Nokta Impact from them before it was released and got it shorty after they were released with no problem, so something must be different now and hope it all gets taken care of.

Long time lurker, but this thread made finally me join up just to comment.

I prepaid/ordered from KellyCo on September 20th of 2017, just days after the parachute drop at Detectival. I haven’t heard a single word from them. Nothing. I’ve emailed a few times but get the exact same copy and pasted reply every time, paraphrasing here but: “Minelab Equinox is popular, etc. Working hard to fill orders, etc.”

So on Wednesday (2/28/2018 ) I called KellyCo to get some answers. It wasn’t a very pleasant experience. I give them my order number was put on hold for awhile and finally they did hesitatantly admit that I did have an order with them. They then went into their spiel about being limited by Minelabs numbers (which I totally understand), but were very quick to add that ALL ORDERS are being filled IN ORDER RECEIVED. When I asked why a fellow detetorist named __________ who ordered on the 21st (after me) received their machine on the 17th of February. I was told that was a lie, I’m not sure if I’m the liar, or the guy happily swinging his 800 for weeks now is the liar. I was guaranteed I would get my machine “eventually”, so reassuring!

So, in closing, this will be the last transaction done with KellyCo in my family and my circle of friends. I was hoping that ordering early would get me a machine, but I guess I need to be on the KellyCo Christmas card list to be in the real line.

Currently on day 164 of prepaid waiting. Good luck everyone!
 
I checked with a rep just now & they said that they will not be caught up on pre-orders by the end of the month as people keep adding their name to the list so those who ordered before February should get theirs by this month...

Once the detectors are received and logged into the data base as received their customer data base system sends the orders to shipping based on the date of order, if they receive 6 detectors the data base kicks out the 6 oldest preorders and sends 6 orders to shipping department so they can ship them. They do not have a hard copy list of orders it is done within their data base.
 
I ordered mine on 09/26/2018 and haven't received anything. I called them on Wed. was told they had received some more shipments. I left my name and number for a rept. to call me back with some word. As of yet I have not received a call. I am seriously considering canceling and giving my order to another dealer.
 
If they are unable to fulfill what orders they currently have they should close the pre-orders until they can get caught up imo....:thumbdown:
 
Unless their computer system is extremely old, this explanation doesn’t fly. They should be able to query their system not only on numbers of back orders, but who the customer is and when the order was placed. My theory is that they are not giving folks info on where they stand, in line, because they don’t want people getting discouraged and cancelling their orders. I don’t think they’re doing themselves any favor; looks like a lot of people are getting very frustrated and angry.
For the record, I have had many transactions with Kellyco, and have been completely satisfied. Just seems that this roll-out has not been managed well, by either the manufacturer or, in this case, Kellyco.

Before my current career, I spent a decade in manufacturing, and maybe ideally this is the way it might be supposed to work, in reality I was instructed often (probably weekly) to “shuffle” things around. It was a managerial decision, and is easily done. It wasn’t fair to the paying customer but it was done. Granted I was schlepping building materials and not a large Detector proveyor, but it irks me now like it did back then, but then again we never told our customers we were filling orders in order received either. There is more than one instance of people getting them out of order, and others that ordered the same day as I did who have had them for weeks, but they could have placed the order earlier in the day.

Regardless, of data bases and concrete order of operations, the fact still remains they’ve been totally silent and in my case less than helpful. I don’t expect a daily call to stroke my ego, but since they have had my payment for 164 days, a periodic note saying “Hey BlueDog, we haven’t received your machine yet, but more are expected very soon. We hope you understand our delay and we are looking forward to getting this in your hand as soon as physically possible. If we hear anything we will let you be the first to know. We at KellyCo appreciate your patience and your business.”
 
I just received an email indicating my pre order dated Oct 14, 2017 for the Equinox 800 has been fulfilled. I also received a FedEx tracking number. Hopefully other Customers,with pre orders will start getting similar emails.
