Anybody have any luck finding gold rings around the edges of basketball courts?

So far I've only found clad around the ones that I've hunted, looks like I need to put the 5.75 coil back on the Cibola turn the disc way down and see what all i can find.

I have never come across a more productive and a site as lucrative as a basketball court, yet.
The older the better, and sorry to say the trashier the better, also.
Those that do the work at these sites do usually get rewarded, however, as in life.

I wrote up a bunch of stuff on my thinking and how I do this in an effort to help others find that next great thing and I have been thanked many times because several have.
I am probably at this point way more successful at finding great targets around these things as I should be allowed by law, but even though I believe luck has something to do with it so does the correct coil choice, a certain amount of skill with your chosen detector and logic does too...along with wrapping your head around the fact that you will be doing some work digging trash.
You need to dig trash not only because great jewelry targets are disguised as trash more often than not but because masking can be a much bigger problem than most know or believe, even when using sniper coils.

Here are those posts if you would like to take a look...

Thanks for the info REVIER, there is a basketball court at one of the elementary schools that I've hunted on and off for years I think the court has been there at least 20 yrs or so there was one that was there longer but a new building is sitting on top if it now. Also one of the local parks that I've been hunting as 8 or 9 of those pavilions you talked about, I have hunted around them some but like you said lots and lots of trash. At the moment the only small coil I have is the 5.75 concentric for my Cibola, looks like I need to buy one for the 705 since I'd really like to hunt with multiple tones and id.

So Far I find tons of pull tabs, can slaw etc. Maybe an occasional piece of clad. But I keep going back and looking. Digging all the aluminum and other trash does get tiresome at times. The one city park that has yielded gold is frequented by one of our minorities and one would expect to find some bling that they have lost.

No rings yet but some clad , beer tops with my 350/ sniper coil but I haven't giving up !

I never hit these and just camp out and dig trash till I go crazy.
These courts are always in parks with other areas to hunt so I hit the courts and dig trash till I am bored and then move to other areas to hunt.
I keep returning to these courts, cover them from one direction, then another, and then even others because that will find many targets that try so hard to stay hidden.
I never consider most of these to ever be finished, over time I want to try to hit every square inch as humanly possible, and also like tot lots they tend to reload.
Once I spend time getting as much of the good stuff out as I can, along with as much trash as I can stand to dig, eventually, if I do my job right, those now much cleaner areas are much easier to find fresh drops faster.
Most of those finds in my pic above were not found on my first visit to most of these courts.

The Tesoro Compadre kicks butts when searching around super trashy basketball courts for gold jewelry. It's my weapon of choice for such a task.

I have found small items around the edges I use the 4x6 shooter coil, lots of foil, probably gum wrappers.
