How do you join a webring that requires your input when you don't have much to input? I'm interested in learning more about gold prospecting, panning, sluicing, etc. but I don't have a lot of experience and it would be foolish of me to try to offer opinions on things I'm not an expert on?

just participation is asked on even only the most basic level.
We have many members that join to learn and that is what we are all about, along with sharing more advanced tips. The 10 post rule to view all categories has significantly decreased the number of spammers and non participating peeps looking for freebies and not giving back anything. As well as the pizzing matches so common to many sites.
I changed the format a year or so ago because we do not want to be a big commercial and money driven entity. That brings way too many problems.
You may also note that there is no member designation like "elite" or "advanced" member etc, therefore ego has less part to play in forum interaction.
Please feel free to join, i would be happy to have you there as we have few knowledgeable metal detecting members.

Metal detectors I know, especially anything to do with underwater detecting - gold panning I am a newbie for sure. Just realize that if I join I'll start running off at the mouth before you know it - getting me to talk is easy, getting me to shut the heck up is a bit more difficult.
