THE GHOST TEAM HOME PAGE

I found this at a railroad bridge on the NC/VA border. During the CW 1863 period for about three months it was guarded by 143 NC/47 Lousiana/9 Alabama and 36 Texas troops. The rest of the time it was guarded by NC home troops (old men with sharp sticks)

I have only seen this button once befor. I was related to the Texas State Militia. Which was orig. formed to protect settlers from Indians.
around the 1850's. You here the term "6 Flags over Texas. Actualy there were 7. The Texas State Malita flew a solid Green flag, but was never recognized when all the smoke settled. You button may be from that Malita.Fore-runners og the TEXAS RANGERS that exist today. If it is for sale, I will buy it and donate to the Fronter-Museum, In Bandera, Texas.
