Fish? Or an eel……?
 
🤔 It does resemble a fishing spoon. The thickness looks to be too much, not what I would expect from fishing spoons.
It also resembles the butt plate on a shotgun or rifle. Possibly hand made replacement or very old forged piece. Guessing
